AQR Conference 2007

2007 AQR Conference: Qualitative research and the professions

The next Conference will be held in Melbourne at Monash University (Caulfield campus)  on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th November.
A number of workshops will be conducted prior to the Conference on the 11th and 12th of November and a day-long Colloquium for research students will also be held on 12th November.

The theme of the Conference is Qualitative Research and the Professions. It will focus on the relationship between qualitative research and professional practice.  Qualitative research is now used by a wide range of professionals.  It is used by researchers to study professional practice and the outcomes of that research are used by professionals to improve their practice. We will be calling for papers that describe research into professional practice in any field (eg.  education, health, business).  We will also be calling for papers that explore how technology is changing the way we do qualitative research.

Call for Papers.

The Conference Committee is interested in hearing from people who would be interested (individually or as part of a team), in leading a stream at the Conference on a particular topic, profession or technology.  The stream could take the form of a series of papers submitted for the Conference or the stream organisers may wish to invite papers on particular issues.

If you are interested in Chairing a Stream or would like to discuss other ways that you might contribute to the Conference, please contact Carlene Boucher on 0417545794 or carlene.boucher@rmit.edu.au.

Overseas and interstate members may be interested to know that the world famous Spring Horse Racing Carnival (including the running of the Melbourne Cup) will occur just prior to the Conference.
